Colourscapes
2025, October 28 - November 16
Colour and pattern are fundamental to my paintings. I am fascinated by the diversity of Australia's landscape across place, time and season. Colour resonates through bursts of bright wattle, the transient light of desert sunsets and the protective shadow of a coastal track. Natural patterns are formed by strobing eucalypts, weather-worn boulders and windswept foliage.
Dianne's art practice is now her full time occupation after an extensive career as an art educator for the National Gallery of Victoria and in Schools.
Painting in oils, she continues to explore technique and subject matter. Colourscapes, her third solo exhibition in five years, includes recent inspirations and some past themes.
